You can delete your Lissn account at any time, from inside the app. You do not need to email anyone or explain why.
Deletion takes effect immediately. You can also export a copy of your data first from the same screen. Do that before deleting, because afterwards we cannot reconstruct it.
Email privacy@lissnapp.com from the address on your account, or tell us the phone number you signed up with. We verify it's you, then action it within 7 working days and confirm when it's done.
Some records are not ours alone to erase. Lissn is a two-sided marketplace, and a session involved another person.
In each case, what remains is disconnected from your name, phone number, and email. It cannot be traced back to you through the app.
We call this "anonymise, don't hard-delete", and we would rather be explicit about it than claim a total erasure that isn't technically or legally true. If you want the precise retention windows, they're in the Privacy Policy.
In Profile → Data & privacy → Export my data, you can download everything we hold about you: account details, session history including messages, mood check-ins, reports you filed, and subscriptions. This is your right under India's DPDP Act, 2023.
Uninstalling removes the app from your device but does not delete your account. Use the steps above.
